Cyber Seniors
Preventing older-adult scams through education, enablement, and respect.
The Cyber Senior initiative aims to empower older adults to navigate the digital world with confidence, and to make informed decisions or seek help when they face cybercrime.
According to the FTC, consumers reported losing over $3.4 billion to fraud in 2020, and seniors make up a significant share of that figure. Older adults are especially exposed to emerging cyber threats, and the criminals who target them are among the most ruthless adversaries there are. Through support and education, this initiative works toward a safer online environment for the senior community.
